Facebook bans ICO advertising

Facebook bans ICO advertising

Facebook has taken a very anti-ICO stance by calling them “misleading and deceptive” and banning their promotion on its platform.

Is it just coincidence that this policy change comes shortly after Facebook CEO announced plans to research how they could leverage the blockchain technology themselves?

Conspiracy theories aside, here’s what Facebook published on their website yesterday:

Facebook bans ICO advertising

What exactly this is going to mean in practice is anyone’s guess at the moment, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing if Facebook bans ICO advertising.

We feel that potential “investors”, if we dare to use that term, do need high quality information before making a decision to buy into an ICO and Facebook ads certainly don’t serve that purpose.

The crypto ecosystem needs a better platform for financial information and those of you who’ve been following us for a while, know that 2100NEWS is in the process of building such a platform through an upcoming ICO.

Don’t fall for ads or YouTube or Twitter promoters or any other  propaganda and be sure to always do your own research before investing in any ICO.
